important because it's a defence and staying place
since the first cednturies. The county wasunder
the Persians in 6th century B.C, in 33,B.C., Alexander
the Great, then Rome, Byzantine civilizations.
With the occupation of clicia by Arab-Islamic
forces, Armenians who escaped there occupied there
(Feke) and the castle Vahkafor some time.
Lateron, there was Memluk occupation and Turks
occupied after Turkish tribes came to Anatolia.
