TAccording to historical rains, it was established by Hitit Kingdom. It was known "Hagin". It's sup posed that this name comes from "Anavarza beyligi" and son of Tor-yo.
This country name comes from Martry Captain Saim Bey at raid Mamure participant on National War extricate and wars of Haçin. It was the administration of different civilizations, later on Ottoman Period it was connected to Elbistan.

Saimbeyli


Indepence war French Forces occupied here in October, 18.1920.
It was saved by Commander Dogan governor Saimbey. After the war, it was established as a new county called Saimbeyli.
It was carried to its new place in 1928. There are 25 villages, in 2000, population is 17149, 5198 of them in the center, others in the villages.
Its square is 1932  km². Its old name is "Haqin" Name of Saimbey after "Hagin" wasgiven to this county because of affairs of Saimbey in the war.
It's known that Armenians occupied it in the middle age.
Armenians changed some parts of the costle to a church and the church is now known "kale kilise."
