Atatürk Museum
Atatürk Museum, which was established
as 19 May Gallery within Samsun Old Fair
area, was opened to visit in July 1st, 1968.
The museum building, which was built with
stone and colored marbles, has a monumental
and effective view. The steps in the forefront
and the embossments reflecting the War of
Liberation as a frizz give motion to the

the museum. The works
in the museum are being
exhibited in three sections.
In the entrance and exit
sections, there are various
books related to Atatürk,
photographs that were
taken at Atatürk's arrival
to Samsun and arranged
in a chronological order.
A panel composed of regional
tobacco leaves that were
given to Atatürk by Samsun
people as a gift is being
exhibited in the museum.
There are clothing materials
such as hat, costume,
glove and other materials
such as weapons, sticks,
dining sets, etc of Atatürk
brought from Anıtkabir
Museum in the display
cabinets of the big hall
located at back side.
There is a section at
the exit of the central
hall in which the statesmen
visiting the museum rested
and wrote their impressions
of the visit.
