The dormitories
of The Higher Education Housing and Loan Association
provide housing for youth pursuing high education.
When: It is open to both Turkish nationals and foreign
students from July 15 - September 10.
Who is eligible: All young people between the ages of
18-26. Foreigners must have a IYHF, IYC or ISIC card,
while Turkish citizens must present their identity card.
Rates: Room rates;
* For organized groups coming from abroad the price
is 2 dollars per person, for individuals traveling alone
3 dollars.
* For organized Turkish groups, the rate per person
is about twice the normal rate for that particular dormitory.
* Fees are paid to the administrators of the dormitory
at which one is staying.
Dormitories: * The rooms are generally furnished with
bunk beds and the dormitory guide will give
information concerning the number of
people who can stay in each room.
* Breakfast and other daily necessities are not included
in the price of the room and so must be paid separately.
* Generally the bathrooms and toilets are outside of
the rooms and are communal. There are no co-ed dormitories.
Families, however, may stay together.
Reservations: In the event that the facilities of the
association are open and have space available;
* Those who would like accommodation, whether they be
individuals or organized groups and regardless of the
duration of the stay, must apply in writing with a photograph
and a proof of ID to the provincial administrative office
if there is one, otherwise to the administrative offices
of the dormitory at which one is planning to stay.
* Those groups or individuals who get approval to stay
are required to be at the administrative office of the
dormitory in question no later than 12:00 midnight.
