and Dalmatian Pelican (Pelecanus crispus) (max.56),
reproducing Marbled Duck (Marmaronetta angustirostris)
(Turkey's known biggest population with 50 pairs) and
Ferruginous Duck (Aythya nyroca) (30 pairs), wintering
Spotted Eagle (Aquila clanga) (max. 20) and Imperial
Eagle (Aquila heliaca) (max.6). In addition to these,
Little Bittern (Ixobrychus minutus) (25 pairs), Night
Heron (Nycticorax nycticorax) (150 pairs), Squacco Heron
(Ardeola ralloides) (70 pairs), Purple Heron (Ardea
purpurea) (50 pairs), Black Francolin (Francolinus francolinus)
(50 pairs), Purple Gallinule (Porphyrio porphyrio) (300
pairs), Stone Curlew (Burhinus oedicnemus) (60 pairs),
Collered Pratincole (Glareola pratincola) (300 pairs),
Kentish Plover (Charadrius alexandrinus) (200 pairs),
Spur-winged Plover (Hoplopterus spinosus) (300 pairs)
and Little Tern (Sterna albifrons) (150 pairs) like
species are reproducing with important numbers within
the region. While huge numbers of water birds (max.
91.097), including Greylag Goose (Anser anser) (max.1450),
Wigeon (Anas penelope) (max. 11.648), Teal (Anas crecca)
(max. 14.952), Shoveler (Anas clypeata) (max.4325) and
Coot (Fulica atra) (max. 36.240), during immigration
huge numbers of Glossy Ibis (Plegadis falcinellus) (max.2500)
and White Stork (Ciconia ciconia) (max.22.000) shelters
